Tunehouse came well prepared for the event, fronting a two-car team consisting of a 2010 Golf R and a 2010 Ford Focus XR5. With a typical Sydney winter weather – cold and wet – the scene was set some very interesting comparos.
Both cars performed very well at the track events. On the wet track the AWD Golf was spectacular drawing positive response during the motorkhana and lap test. Despite being a front-wheel, the XR5 also received plenty of praise from the drivers for its power delivery and handling.
The quarter mile testing and dyno runs proved something we, at Tunehouse l knew already; that you really can have the best of both worlds – good power and torque in a great handling and easy to drive car!
“I’m really happy with the way both cars performed,” said Jim “they handled, accelerated, braked and produced enough power to put a lot of more expensive cars to shame. And all with just a bolt-on package that we can fit to just about any car!”
