THR-86 getting ready for WTAC

Sharing the track with the Open Class heavy weight Nik Kalis and the 2012 Pro Class runner-up Tilton Interiors, our Toyota was the sole representative of the Clubsprint Class.

In the skilled hands of our team test driver John “Boz” Boston, the car sped around the track with a poise and speed of a true race car.

“It is fantastic to be involved with a workshop which are up for a challenge” said John after coming back to the pits after a few laps.

“We are leading the 86/BRZ development, and testing the car in the ultimate environment, the race track. We were able to find different results testing the car at Eastern Creek compared to Wakefield, due to the throttle being open for a lot longer, and the different layout.”

“It was noticeable from the outset, that car was much better over the bumps now that we have the new Bilsteins installed. We got a lot of data from the day, and know what changes that we need to make.”

“I believe with the small changes that we are going to make to the car, will improve seconds per lap.”

With the World Time Attack Challenge only 8 weeks away the Tunehouse team is hard at work ensuring all three Tunehouse-backed cars are prepared and ready for action.
