Jim’s Word – June 2014: Hot Tuner Challenge, EcuTek and Brakes

This has certainly been an interesting month! We have attended the MOTOR Magazine Hot Tuner Challenge with a VF Clubsport R8 and a supercharged Nissan 370Z. While I can’t disclose too much at this stage, the cars have raised a few eyebrows at the event and we are looking forward to the write-up in the August issue of the magazine.

I have also attended a very exclusive EcuTek training seminar which proved both very informative and exciting. EcuTek are bringing out a bunch of new products and I’m happy to say Tunehouse is actively involved in bringing these developments to the Australian market. There will be more exciting news coming up soon with new tuning options available for high performance Japanese and European cars.

You might have noticed a big focus on brakes this month on our website. It’s only too often that we see brake systems that are way overdue for replacement on cars that are brought in for a service. Don’t let your brakes deteriorate to the point of being dangerous, your brakes are some of the most important components of your car and their correct functioning is imperative to your safety.

For the next month, we’re offering a 12-point brake system check for every car booked in for a Tunehouse Plus service. Let our experienced technicians examine your brakes to ensure they don’t fail when you need them most!

As always, take care out there and happy motoring.
