Another year done and dusted! It’s always a pleasure to be a part of MOTOR magazines Hot Tuner Challenge and this year was no different. If you didn’t already know, Hot Tuner Challenge is a chance for the best Performance Workshops from all over the country to flex their tuning and modifying prowess.
This year we had entered one of our good customers very own car. A mildly tuned Toyota 86 with our Stage 1 turbo kit. Other modifications to the car include AP Racing 4-pot calipers, DBA 2 piece rotors and MCA Suspension coilovers.
This year the challenges were split into 3 arena’s. The Strip, The Dyno and The Track. Simple. As well as this, the journalists had ample amounts of time to spend in each car, getting to know their in’s and out’s.
Here are just a few excerpts from the Warren Luff and the boys at Motor.
“One of the best all-rounders – showroom or tuned – I’ve driven on a track.”
“It just goes to show how good this 86 overall package is. Just the modifications of the engine, brakes and suspension make it such a fun car. And again, it takes that great platform that the 86 is and takes it to that level where it’s a good track day car, but it’s still a very usable road car.” -Warren Luff
“A terrific blend of straight line punch and engaging cornering.”
