Jim’s Word – JUNE 2013

What a month this has been! With our Project THR-86 completed we headed out to Wakefield Park for some track testing and threw the keys to our test pilot – John ‘Boz’ Boston. Make sure you read the story and watch the video – it’s a must-watch!

This month I’m also saying goodbye to an old friend, my personal Clubsport R8. It’s been a faithful and reliable car but we need to make room for another project car so unfortunately it has to go.

As I’m writing this, we are preparing for a Mazda MPS dyno day. It’s a lot of work, but the whole team enjoys it and we get a great feedback from the Mazda community that always get fully behind the event. Even if you don’t drive a Mazda, you should still drop in and have a look what all the fuss is about!

In case you haven’t noticed – winter is here, and with it all the little mechanical goblins that seem to come out of the woodwork at this time of year. It’s always a good idea to bring your car in for a service and some preventative maintenance rather than having to call roadside assistance while you’re stuck on a side of the road in a pouring rain.

Little things like the windscreen wipers, battery charge, faulty lights can quickly become a nuisance so when you’re booking your car for the next service at Tunehouse make sure to ask for our exclusive, free ‘winter check-up’. It’s the little things we do that make a big difference!

See you out there!
