This month I want to touch on what motivates me as a business owner. I’ve been in business for 17 years, but I’ve been in the industry for 35.
Back when the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ first launched we were one of the first companies to begin serious research and development for aftermarket power kits. This was the same when Ford released the Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo way back in 2002. We knew our customers wouldn’t be content with the factory output, so we got to work.
People often ask me ‘what’s next’, and my response is that we’re always thinking and planning. Just last week we completed a whole day of testing with a 2017 Ford Focus RS. In the coming weeks we’ll be doing some research and development with a Kia Stinger GT. And beyond that we’ll definitely be looking at what we can do with the upcoming all-new Toyota Supra; for us, that’s a natural continuation from the Toyota 86.
In the next month we’ll be launching our Tunehouse online store. Here you’ll be able to buy all of the great and wonderful things we engineer, as well as a long list of high-end products we distribute on behalf of our suppliers.
Our workshop is also constantly filled with vehicles getting everything from routine services to performance packages. While we are known for performance, a lot of our business comes from log book servicing and routine maintenance.
To answer the question at the top about what motivates me, my customers, the desire to be the best, as well as innovating performance products keeps me motivated. If you know me then you know I love a challenge.
If you’re thinking about modifying your car or have a question regarding maintenance, we’re always happy to take your call.
Talk to you next month.
